The birthday link many Supernatural fans forget
There are two important Supernatural character birthdays on Jan. 24.
January 24 is a very special day for Supernatural fans. It’s the date of Dean Winchester’s birthday. This year he turns 39 (although the actor will turn 40 later this year). But it’s not all about Dean. The day is that of another Supernatural character and it’s a link that many fans now forget. In fact, some fans wouldn’t even know!
Cast your mind back to the very first season. Jan. 24 is also the date of Jessica Moore’s birth. Yes, the Jessica Moore that was the reason Sam Winchester got back into hunting. It’s a date that was never really mentioned by Sam, but a fun Easter Egg creator Eric Kripke added to the show. Jess is just a few years younger than Dean, though.

In the first season of the show, both Dean and Jess were two extremely important people to Sam. Dean was the big brother Sam would look up to. While they didn’t always see eye-to-eye on cases and they didn’t think the same way about monsters and creatures, Dean was still Sam’s big brother; the protector and guide.

As for Jess, she was the love of his 22-year-old self. After returning home from looking for John, Sam was pulled back into the hunting world because Yellow Eyes burned Jess on the ceiling. It was a horrific scene that remains burned in the memories of fans. Her death gave Sam a reason to get revenge, but also a way to learn more about his family and his connection to Dean.
There’s also a Supernatural Easter Egg in Timeless. Jan. 24 is the birthday of main character Lucy Preston. It’s another one of those links that is easily overlooked and some may not have realized until seeing Kripke’s tweet wishing his three characters a happy birthday.

The tweet does more than that though. There’s a reason Jan. 24 has been picked as the date for iconic character birthdays. It’s Kripke’s wife’s birthday, too!
