When does This Is Us return to NBC after the Olympics?

After a trio of majorly depressing episodes, This Is Us will take a short break for the Winter Olympics. But when will the series return for more tears?
It’s no secret that after the last three episodes left fans feeling a little dehydrated, This Is Us will take a brief hiatus. Before you assume NBC has heard the literal cries of our broken hearts, it’s not recovery time for us. Since NBC will be airing the 2018 Winter Olympics, most of its programming will sit the bench for much of February, including the Pearsons.
But when will This Is Us return to ruin us on Tuesday nights? Make sure you pencil in Feb. 27 at 9/8c and schedule the recording on your DVR. The Pearsons will be back after the Olympics in all their dysfunctional and lovable glory for the final three episodes of Season 2. That’s right, we only have three more episodes of the season, which means it’s almost time for the latest cliffhanger ending.
Last season, This Is Us ended on a somber note, eschewing the popularly sought after answer to the question of how Jack died. With that hurtle now out of the way, the series can delve into more stories about this family that — hopefully — have little to do about death and leave us with a surprising season finale. We can dream of happier times, but it seems we’re going back into the thick of it.
The short trailer released after “The Car” previewed what’s to come in the final three episodes, and you can rest easy since there was a glimpse of Jack. Relax, he’s not going anywhere. We’ll jump back into Jack’s past on the frontlines in Vietnam, which will also usher in the first appearance of Jack’s late brother, Nicky. Considering Deja came back to Beth and Randall’s and we’re time jumping to the future, our story is just getting started.
