When Sterling K. Brown takes the stage as host of Saturday Night Live, we have some ideas for the This Is Us star. Here’s five things we want to see from his first SNL hosting gig!

In case you missed the big news, one of our very own This Is Us stars will be making the trek from the Pearson home in Pittsburgh all the way to the big city. That’s right, Emmy-winner Sterling K. Brown will represent the hit NBC series by hosting another: Saturday Night Live! The talented actor will make his SNL hosting debut on March 10, and we can’t wait to watch Sterling set the requisite tears of playing Randall Pearson aside for some all-out comedy.

But what do fans want to see from the first-time host when he graces the legendary 30 Rock stage this spring? Surely, the list is much longer than five items (and each of them can’t be This Is Us-related, as much as we’d like them to be), but the handful of must-have moments that made our wishlist can’t be passed up. Here are five things we hope to see when Sterling K. Brown hosts Saturday Night Live!

1. A This Is Us sketch.

After taking part in Jimmy Fallon’s This Is Us parody sketch for The Tonight Show (linked below), it’s almost a given that Sterling K. Brown’s first round as SNL host will feature a humorous homage to television’s most talked about drama series.

2. Co-star cameos.

Whether it’s for the above sketch or for Sterling’s opening monologue, what would his big Saturday Night Live debut be without a little help from his family? We’d love to see Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, and Susan Kelechi Watson appear in some capacity during the show.

3. A Black Panther sketch.

Obviously, Black Panther will be addressed by Saturday Night Live. The sketch series never lets a pop culture phenomenon fly by without putting their comedy spin on it, and the latest record-breaking Marvel film is no different. Since Sterling appeared in the film, it’s a safe bet that there will be a Panther parody.

4. Crazy impressions.

From the brief moments that This Is Us isn’t making us bawl our eyes out, we know that Sterling K. Brown has some enviable comedy chops. One of the staples of SNL is celebrity impressions, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Sterling’s brushing up on his best impersonations.

5. Lots of laughter… not tears!

You’d think it would go without saying, but just in case, we’re hoping that Sterling K. Brown leaves the emotional moments to This Is Us when he host Saturday Night Live. There’s a time and a place to be heartbroken on TV, and that’s Tuesdays at 9 on NBC, not Saturdays at 11:35. More than anything, we’re ready to laugh and wishing Sterling an incredible show!
