The Celebrity Big Brother season finale took place on February 25. The last CBB USA recap would end up revealing who won the winter season.

The Celebrity Big Brother season finale recap comes from a two-hour episode on February 25. By the end of the night, one of the celebrities would win the $250,000 cash prize. To get to the point where the nine-member Big Brother jury would vote, three more evictions needed to take place. Coming into the night, the final five celebrities were Ross Mathews, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Omarosa, Mark McGrath, and Ariadna Gutierrez.

Episode 13 began with a recap that included a lot of moments from the season. It worked up to the Double Eviction of Brandi Glanville and James Maslow. It was then time to reveal who won the Head of Household Competition that took place shortly after the Double Eviction. The winner would be guaranteed a spot in the final four this season. It was then time to get started on the Celebrity Big Brother season finale.

Final five HOH Competition

In an endurance challenge, the four participants had to stand on elevated skis that were moved around the backyard. The last person standing would win the HOH and gain the power to nominate two people. Omarosa was the outgoing HOH and had to sit this one out. Marissa and Ariadna were out of the competition first, leaving just Mark and Ross competing. Ross made a deal to protect Mark if he dropped and that’s exactly what happened. Ross became the final five HOH.

Nomination Ceremony

Ross had a discussion with Ariadna and Marissa, letting them know his nominees would be Omarosa and Ariadna. Ross and Marissa promised Ariadna safety, letting her know that Ross needed to honor his deal with Mark. At the Nomination Ceremony, that’s exactly what took place, as it was revealed that Ariadna and Omarosa were on the block.

The last Celebrity Big Brother Power of Veto

More from Hidden Remote

The final Veto Competition required the houseguests to remember what days events took place in the game. The person to get the most right would win the Power of Veto. Ross and Marissa got them all right, so it came down to who did it the quickest. Ross finished in about half the time of Marissa, resulting in another competition win for him. Consequently, for Omarosa, her time in the Big Brother house might have been at an end. It’s worth noting that she only got one right answer out of eight possible. At the Veto Ceremony, Ross declined to use the Power of Veto.

First Eviction Ceremony

The two voters (Marissa Jaret Winokur and Mark McGrath) had to pick between Omarosa and Ariadna Gutierrez during the first Eviction Ceremony of this Celebrity Big Brother season finale recap. By a 2-0 vote, Omarosa became the seventh member of the CBB USA jury. The final four became Marissa, Mark, Ariadna, and Ross Mathews.

Live Head of Household Competition

Host Julie Chen called this HOH Competition the biggest one in the history of the show. She was referring, of course, to the power the final HOH gets on Celebrity Big Brother. Winning the challenge not only guaranteed a spot in the final two but also gave the HOH a choice of who went with them. Everything was on the line for Marissa, Ross, Ariadna, and Mark. Who would win the final Head of Household Competition this winter?

The final competition involved identifying which statements by evicted houseguests were true and which ones were false. The houseguest with the most right answers becomes the final HOH. A three-way tie resulted in a tiebreaker between Mark, Ross, and Marissa. Getting the closest answer to the final question, Marissa Jaret Winokur won the HOH.

The Final Eviction Ceremony

One of the most important moments of the Celebrity Big Brother season finale was the final Eviction Ceremony. Marissa had to immediately evict two people, possibly hurting her with the jury votes. Marissa Jaret Winokur voted to evict Mark McGrath and Ariadna Gutierrez, and, as a result, took Ross Mathews to the final two.

Celebrity Big Brother season finale recap: Jury deliberation

All nine members of the CBB USA jury had to deliberate and vote on who would win the $250,000 cash prize. They each took turns asking questions of the final two, but they weren’t allowed to discuss the answers. As votes were being made, it was obvious that some were breaking that rule.

CBB USA winner

Ariadna, Omarosa, James, Shannon, Keshia, and Chuck voted for Marissa. Mark, Brandi, and Metta voted for Ross. By a vote of 6-3, Marissa Jaret Winokur won Celebrity Big Brother. She won $250,000 for it. Ross Mathews came in second place and was also picked as America’s Favorite Houseguest. He won a total of $75,000 for his efforts. That brings an end to the Celebrity Big Brother season finale recap.
