Is Deja here to stay on This Is Us?

We recently realized that Deja’s coming back! We also found out that she will be getting her very own episode. Is she going to remain a part of This Is Us for a while though?

Many of us This is Us fans are obsessed with Deja and how well she fits in with Randall and Beth Pearson’s family. Sure, she took a little while to warm up to her foster family. It makes a lot of sense, given her rough background. Once we finally got to know her, we were hooked!

Then — of course — Deja’s mom was able to take her back. This was heartbreaking, but it needed to happen. Now, she’s coming back to live with Beth and Randall again. How long will this last?

I am hopeful that the Pearsons will get to adopt Deja. This would fulfill Randall’s dream of adopting, which he mentioned prior to their foster care experience. Plus, I feel like she is a big part of their family.

This is entirely speculation, but there’s a chance that Deja will jump between the Pearsons and her mother for a little while. As we all know, This Is Us is pretty realistic, and this kind of thing happens in real life. The writers love to mess with our feelings and cause all of the tears. I don’t think that she will just be handed to the Pearsons for good — it’s going to be a long process.

Next: Deja gets her own special episode

Overall, I am starting to think that Deja might be around for good because she came back. I also don’t know that they would devote an entire episode to her and her story if she wasn’t here to stay. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking though.

Hopefully we will find out more about Deja as Season 2 comes to a close. Do you think she will become a permanent part of the Pearson family?
