Let’s deal with the elephant in the room.

First and foremost, there needs to be a LOT more about how Jaz got on the team. She’s incredibly fierce, but there needs to be considerable background provided. There have been women embedded with Delta Force, and Norway has their own all-female Special Ops unit, but women as of yet have not breached the Delta Force ranks. We NEED to know her background.

Her path to the team was hinted at, when Cpt. Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel) said, “Getting here was harder for you than I’ll ever understand.” That’s not enough.

We need to see extraordinary P.T. scores, a personnel file that indicates some seriously amazing accomplishments, and a picture of her absolutely buried in medals for her gallantry. She needs to be built up more than G.I. Jane for detractors to buy in. In other words, a Jaz backstory is paramount.

People familiar with the military already know it’s not currently realistic, so the early Jaz years are critical for credibility. Besides, everyone wants to see more of Jaz!
