When will This Is Us season 3 premiere on NBC?

Understandably, This Is Us fans have been in mourning since the heartbreaking and heartwarming wedding finale capped off Season 2 earlier this month. Without the Pearsons’ company on Tuesday nights, millions of loyal viewers have a hole in their hearts — and a whole lot of tissues leftover. But thanks to three jaw-dropping cliffhangers, our sights are already set on what’s time come in the forthcoming Season 3.

While scarce information about this fall’s upcoming third season has been released, we already know a few details about what to expect in the next chapter of 18 episodes. Of course, with the introduction of a future timeline, This Is Us will include even more flash forwards to answer those burning questions about who might no longer be with us. Also, Season 3 will delve deeper into Rebecca and Miguel’s relationship in the past and present. But when can we watch new episodes?

Based on This Is Us’ history of leading out NBC’s fall kickoff, we can expect Season 3 to premiere in late September. No official details have been provided by NBC, and there’s certainly a chance that it could arrive ahead of or behind schedule, but tradition tells us we’ll be seeing the Pearsons at the very start of the fall television season. Tentatively pencil in a good ugly cry for Tuesday, September 25, granted that NBC sticks with #TissueTuesday.

Considering the monumental changes that the Season 2 finale previewed, fans should prepare for the third season to bring about some difference in the Pearsons’ lives. For starters, newly married Kate and Toby will deal with Toby’s health crisis, Beth and Randall will continue to grapple with welcoming Deja into their family, and Kevin will embark on a new romance. Each of these developments involve adjustments, maybe even to the cast.
