Star Wars: Forces of Destiny dropped eight new videos for season two. The videos feature characters from all across the Star Wars universe. Check them out!

When Disney first announced Star War: Forces of Destiny, I wasn’t sure if it was something that would catch on. Thankfully it did, though, and they’re releasing a second season, which starts with the eight new videos they dropped.

Each video runs under three minutes, so it doesn’t take long at all to get through them. The videos as a whole don’t take place during a specific point in time or even in a specific place. Each one is its own unique little story. If you’ve been missing Rebels already, the first episode “Hasty Departure” features Hera, Sabine and Chopper. This season also includes characters from The Last Jedi, which means Rose (in “Shuttle Shock”) and Porgs (in “Port Problems”) get to make their appearances.

If the voices of these characters sound familiar, it’s because they are. Here’s a quick look at some of the voice actors featured: Mark Hamill (Luke), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose), Tiya Sircar (Sabine), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka), Vanessa Marshall (Hera), Catherine Taber (Padmé) and Matt Lanter (Anakin).

The videos follow the Star Wars canon and even if the animation isn’t the same as what we see in Rebels or Clone Wars, these stories are still ones everyone can enjoy. The 2D animation gives it a much different feel. It is great to see Disney doing something like this seeing as it’s not much of a money-maker for them since it’s just on YouTube.
