Young and the Restless: Kyle Abbott is back with a vengeance, newcomer Michael Mealor debuts

There is a new face in Genoa City, but the Young and the Restless character may just sound very familiar.

Actor Michael Mealor has just made his debut on the Young and the Restless. He has taken over the role of Kyle Abbott that was previously played by Lachlan Buchanan until 2016. By the looks of it already, he may just be a force to be reckoned with.

Secrets and grudges

It looks like young Kyle Abbott will have some stuff going on that no one knows about just yet. Mealor has been dishing a little bit about his character coming back to Genoa City from New York. He mentions that his character is returning with a new attitude and with a few secrets. He also says that Kyle may even have a few grudges as well.

That will eventually be obvious when he goes up against his dad, Jack Abbott. As revealed by ET, Mealor dishes that Kyle will be teaming up with Victor Newman. That will certainly add fuel to the fire in the ongoing feud between Jack and Victor.

On Thursday’s episode of the Young and the Restless, Kyle was bold enough to stroll into Victor’s hospital room where he is lying there in a coma. He tells him, “It’s me, Victor, Kyle Abbott. Better wake up soon, you’ll miss all the fun!” How’s that for an incentive for Victor to open his eyes soon!

What’s ahead for Kyle Abbott

This hunky guy seems to have an ax to grind and you can certainly tell that is the case just on his first day on the Young and the Restless. It also sounds like he will be getting into some mischief, especially when Victor wakes up and gladly envelops his enemy’s son into his fold.

Being the handsome guy that he is, Kyle will not have any trouble with the ladies. Michael Mealor has already brought his charm and fun to the soap on his first day. It should get quite interesting in Genoa City.
