Everything we learned from the new Shadowhunters photos for episodes 6 and 7
New Shadowhunters season 3 photos were released for episodes 6 and 7, and they reveal some exciting new developments (like these 2 characters visiting the Lilith in the Church of Talto)!
Freeform released new still photos for Shadowhunters season 3, episode 6, “A Window Into An Empty Room,” and for season 3, episode 7, “Salt In The Wound.” While the photos don’t give too much away about what will happen in each episode, we absolutely learned more about which characters will meet for the first time, who will be trying to stop the Owl, and how Maia may come to learn more about Simon’s new apartment situation with Kyle.
In “A Window Into An Empty Room,” we know from the official synopsis that Clary will work with Magnus “to investigate a recent demon attack.” It also looks like Simon will get a surprise visit from Heidi, who he hasn’t seen since the bleeder den in season 2. There’s also another Lightwood family dinner, but this time it’s Izzy who’s feeling anxious, especially because there’s a special guest coming over (maybe Charlie??). Oh, and get ready for some Luke and Maryse scenes!
Heidi & Maia at Simon’s apartment
The first major thing we learned from the photos though, is that Heidi and Maia will visit Simon in his new apartment (not at the same time), and both look like they have important topics to discuss.

Isabelle meet Heidi
However, Heidi’s fun isn’t over there. She’s got on her party dress, but Izzy doesn’t look so excited to see her. Could Isabelle be looking to protect both Raphael and Simon? Isabelle will likely know that Heidi is responsible for torturing Raphael, and we’re excited to see what unfolds when these two women meet.

Teaming up in episode 6!
Jace will still be in Lilith’s clutches and visiting her mansion, working his way through possessing the 33 disciples to help revive Sebastian, but Clary and Magnus will be working together after another demon attack. We recognize that Psychic sign — their investigation may have brought them over the Hunter’s Moon!

Institute meeting about Lilith
Things are going to change up a little in season 3, episode 7, “Salt In The Wound” because the team will finally learn about the Owl’s true identity (or at least they think they’ve uncovered his identity). We’ve seen a clip from this scene with Clary, Alec, Isabelle, Simon and Magnus in a season 3 trailer, and we’re hoping that they’ll be able to find a way to save Jace.
Simon & Luke at The Church of Talto
Simon and Luke will be working together in season 3, episode 7, and they’ve found the Church of Talto while tracking on of Lilith’s victims. We don’t have any pictures of them seeing Lilith’s alter, and we don’t know for sure if they’ll even meet Lilith, but they’re bound to find clues and learn more about what’s been happening.

Magnus & Catarina in the loft
Finally, we’ve learned that Magnus will work together with Catarina in his penthouse apothecary, possibly to help in the cause to save Jace? We’re super excited to see more scenes on this new set with Magnus in his element.
