Season 4: “The Equestranauts”

Season 4 was full of Tina-centric episodes including “Mazel-Tina,” “Presto Tina-o” and “Uncle Teddy” where Tina is focused on a majority of the plotline. However, the most impactful episode for Tina was “The Equestranauts.” As much about Tina as it is about Bob, this one has become a fan-favorite.

In “The Equestranauts,” we’re introduced to Tina’s favorite show of the titular name. An obvious parody of My Little Pony, Tina is gearing up to go to her first convention. Her excitement dies down after she realizes it’s mostly full of men who love the show. Her day gets worse when she trades her only pony to a guy looking to cash in on it. By the end of the episode, Tina saves the family and Bob gets her pony back.

How “The Equestranauts” impacted Tina: The obvious impact made on Tina will never trust a brony. Just kidding, but it showed Tina the effects of fandom and how people can bend it to suit themselves. It also showed her the lengths Bob and the family will go to make sure she is happy. Even though the episode parodies My Little Pony and its fandom, it shows it through Tina, a girl who is just trying to love the show and her pony.
