Bob’s Burgers: Looking at Tina through the seasons
Season 6: “The Horse Rider-er”
Unlike previous seasons, season 6 had only 19 episodes. The only season’s shorter were the first two seasons. Despite the smaller number of episodes, there were still some Tina-centric episodes including “Secret Admiral-irer,” “The Hormone-iums,” and “The Land Ship.” The episode that won out was “The Horse Rider-er” but was there ever really a contest?
“The Horse Rider-er” is easily the most recognized and arguably best Tina episode ever. In the episode, Tina finally gets her wish of going to horse camp. Unfortunately, it means giving up her imaginary horse, Jericho. Throughout the episode, we watch as Tina struggles to bond with her real horse and at the end of camp, rides through the exhibition on Jericho.
How “The Horse Rider-er” impacted Tina: This was a huge moment of character development for Tina as we see her interacting with horses. What impacted her most was her inability to bond with a real horse and her struggles with her favorite animal. It also showed her that maybe an imaginary horse is all she needs instead of a real one.
Overall, “The Horse Rider-er” is an incredible Tina-centric episode. It tiptoes the line between being too much and not enough all at once.
