Bob’s Burgers: Looking at Tina through the seasons
Season 7: “The Grand Mama-Pest Hotel”
Season 7 proved to be another treasure trove of Tina-centric episodes. Of all the seasons, this one was the hardest to narrow down. There was the Halloween episode, “Teen-A-Witch,” “Ex Mach Tina,” “Ain’t Miss Debatin,” and “Aquaticism.” However, the episode that stood out most was “The Grand Mama-Pest Hotel.”
The episode begins with Linda chaperoning Tina’s trip to a heroine conference. It’s all going alright until Tina meets a new friend and leaves Linda hanging. Linda spends the entire episode, trying to win Tina’s affections back. AT the end of the episode, Tina explains she loves spending time with Linda, but would also like some time to spend with her and her new friends.
How “The Grand Mama-Pest Hotel” impacted Tina: This was a huge episode for Tina as we saw her first real conflict with Linda. Throughout the series, the two have gotten along well and are extremely close. This episode impacted Tina because it strained her relationship with Linda and showed her being more independent.
Seeing Tina makes friends was fun as we usually don’t see that and having her new friend influenced her. Overall, the episode was not only a new experience for Tina and Linda but a new experience for us, too.
