Exclusive: Ash vs Evil Dead Series Finale advanced preview

The series finale of Ash vs Evil Dead airs Sunday, April 29, and we have an advanced preview of the episode, including an exclusive clip.
The time is here. Everything that Ash experienced throughout his life comes down to this. With humanity threatened and Elk Grove at the core, it is up to Ash to save the day. Of course, he will have Pablo, Kelly, and Brandy on his side but this is Ash’s battle to fight–and hopefully end for good. This final showdown will not only close out Ash vs Evil Dead season three, it will also serve as the series finale.
Late last week, Starz officially announced that the final episode of the season will mark as the final installment of the series. So it’s “do or die” for Ash and the Ghostbeaters. There is no doubt that the team will go down fighting especially with the fate of the humanity on the line.
Here is the official synopsis for Sunday’s episode, “The Mettle of Man”:
"The Ghostbeaters are put to the ultimate test to defeat a global demon infestation whose epicenter is Elk Grove. Ash, Pablo, Kelly and Brandy gear up for battle one last time to save the world!"

For the first time, evil doesn’t just have its eyes set on Ash’s loved ones, the Dark Ones are exposing evil to the whole world. Demons are running wild across the globe requiring a swift response from the military. But this isn’t something that guns and tanks can fix. This is all up to Ash. The severity of the current situation will cause Ash to debate whether he is suited to handle the fight but Brandy and Pablo become the voice of reason. They give him the final boost of confidence he needs to face his most difficult test yet.

The dynamic between Ash and Brandy has been the ultimate bright spot of the season. There was certainly bumps in the road but their father-daughter relationship has grown into something truly special. Despite Ash’s past behavior, he transformed into an admirable father figure for his teenage daughter. It is a shame we as viewers won’t have the chance to see Brandy grow beyond this point as her potential for carrying the dead-slaying torch considering how far she has come following Ash’s footsteps in the fight against evil.
Goodbye for good?
Ash vs Evil Dead fans are never ones to stay quiet about their love for the franchise. There have been numerous petitions to continue the show past season three. Now that Starz has officially canceled the show, fans are now looking at Netflix to lend a hand in saving the show. As the cast used social media to honor the show, loyal fans, and fellow cast members, we learned more about Ash’s future. According to the man himself, Bruce Campbell, he is retiring from portraying Ash. He took to Facebook to thank fans and share that after nearly 40 years, his time as Ash is over. Hail to the king!
