Can you really think of a better episode than the one that started it all? The episode that captured our attention and converted us into fans of The Walking Dead, “Days Gone Bye.” Being a pilot episode is no easy task. The first chapter is the one that is supposed to draw you in with its story and compelling characters. In the case of TWD, “Days Gone Bye” succeeded. No one can forget the moment Rick, riding a horse he found, turned the corner of a street to find a herd of walkers. Or when Rick found himself trapped inside a tank with no way out.
As we watched, we were all on the edge of our seats. From the moment Rick wakes up from his coma, to his time with Morgan and his son, we were hooked. We had no idea what to expect, but we were all in! “Days Gone Bye” isn’t only one of the best installments The Walking Dead has aired, it’s one of the best episodes of television.
