Too Far Gone
Season 4, episode 8
“Too Far Gone” features one of the best scenes ever. Remember back when Rick Grimes used to have faith in people? No matter how bad things got, he still believed everyone had humanity left. All this thanks mostly to Hershel, who played the role of the father figure to everyone in the group. Even when the Governor held Hershel and Michonne captive, Rick tried to reason with him. What happened instead is an exchange of gun fire, death, and bloodshed.
This episode, which served as the mid-season finale for Season 4, left viewers with their jaws on the floor — a dead Hershel, the Governor, a few casualties, their home (the prison) destroyed, and Rick and his group divided.
