Is this a sign Wayward Sisters is getting picked up?

We’re still waiting to hear about the Supernatural spin-off. A new Wayward Sisters Twitter account may be a sign that the show is getting picked up to series.

While not everyone loved the Wayward Sisters backdoor pilot or want a Supernaural spin-off, there is still plenty of hype around it. Unlike Bloodlines, there is a huge call for the spin-off to be picked up. And this could be the perfect timing for a series focused on a group of independent and inspirational women. So far, The CW has been quiet on the spin-off front. In fact, it’s been quiet on the freshman show front entirely but there could be a sign the show is getting picked up.

Shortly after last night’s episode of Supernatural, fans on Twitter spotted a very telling page. A Wayward Sisters Twitter account has been set up. Currently, it’s locked, but it certainly looks official. While it doesn’t have the blue tick (it would be hard to be verified with a private page), it does look very similar to many other potential CW pilot profiles. Yes, the Charmed and Roswell reboots both have official Twitter profiles now, too, along with some others.

While creating a Twitter account is free, there would be no point in making one if the pilot isn’t picked up to series. This is definitely one of those tell-tale signs that something big is coming.

The Upfronts aren’t until May 17, but the pilots being picked up to series are bound to come out days before. After all, the Upfronts is the time to present the full lineup to the advertisers. So far, The CW still has to make the decision on one current show, iZombie. That will probably be a decision to make before looking at the pilots to pick up for series officially, but it looks like the planning is already happening.
