Fox: 11 best shows the network has unfortunately cancelled
Making History
All About The Show: Making History followed co-workers, Dan and Chris who time-traveled together. Eventually, Dan started a relationship with Paul Revere’s daughter, Debbie and the three time-traveled together. Making History had a decent time-slot on Sunday, nestled between The Simpsons and Family Guy. However, the show failed to produce solid ratings and was canceled after only 9 episodes.
The perfect fit: Of all the major networks, I think Making History would have found success on NBC. It was definitely a quirky show and one that could have worked on NBC versus any of the other major networks.
It could have been a companion to Timeless. While Timeless is more historically accurate, Making History was lighter and focused more on gags than history. It did feature a lot of prominent albeit unrealistic portrayals of historical figures.

What we’ll miss most: There aren’t a lot of funny historical shows as most historical shows take a more serious approach. Making History was different because it coupled fiction with facts. It would take a rumor or joke about a historical figure and make it into something it wasn’t.
The show also featured a stellar cast including Adam Pally, Yassir Lester and Leighton Meester. Making History had all the makings of a good show but sadly couldn’t keep the ratings. It’s a shame as it could have been a funnier version of Timeless.
