Imposters is coming to an end and it is happening before they knew it would be a series finale.

The news just recently came out that, after two successful seasons, the show Imposters was being canceled. TV Line got the chance to talk to the Imposters bosses and they explained how they didn’t know that the show was being canceled when they did these last episodes. Of course, that means some cliffhangers are going to happen that end up being left unfinished.

This week, Maddie, Ezra, Richard, Jules and everyone else is trying to take out the Doctor. This is something that has been coming for a long time. This storyline will give the viewers a bit of closure, but it isn’t going to be enough to make fans happy. There was a lot of story left to tell when Imposters season two ended.

A few things will be resolved, but they are also going to leave fans with a few cliffhangers at the end of the show. Adam Brooks explained that they didn’t know it would be a series finale and weren’t really expecting that either. He explained that the story with the Doctor will come to an end, but other stories won’t. Paul Adelstein shared that they didn’t know it was coming.

"“You never expect The Spanish Inquisition. It did really well on Netflix, and it was doing similar to [what] it did last year, but the economics of television are super complex these days. There’s a lot of content, as we all know. Unless something is an absolute zeitgeist hit, then nothing is necessarily safe. So I think we were always cautiously optimistic. [We’re] obviously disappointed, but we were realistic, as well.”"

So could Imposters be coming back? It doesn’t sound that way, but they aren’t giving up just yet. Right now, they are still looking into options and if something comes up they will be happy to keep the show going.
