Mara has decided to allow her niece seep into her awakened state in Reverie Season 1. That’s going to cause problems, especially when it comes to helping the next person.
We knew it was going to happen. Mara was going to choose to continue seeing her niece, allowing the derealization take over. Reverie Season 1, Episode 3 shows the dangers of that for Mara, while she helps the next person on her list. Titled “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” the episode sees Mara beg Charlie to allow her to keep helping people.
It’s clear that Mara has needed help after the deaths of her sister and niece. Helping people who allowed Reverie to take over their lives was supposed to be that chance. However, it’s now putting her life in danger. During the promo, everything around her view changes and Brynn appears and finally speaks. “You’re here for a reason,” Brynn tells her but what exactly is that reason?

While dealing with her own issues, Mara will also need to help a man who is robbing banks in Reverie. This shouldn’t seem like an issue in itself. After all, it’s not like he’s hurting real people when he’s in this dream state. However, it looks like he’s choosing the computer-generated world rather than the world with his wife.
Charlie will also have to make a big decision. He knows that Mara is giving into the derealization. Now he’ll need to decide whether to take Reverie 2.0 away from her or find another way to help her. Mara doesn’t want to stop helping people, but is it really that she doesn’t want to lose her chance to see Brynn?
