After an incredible first season on The CW, Warner Bros. Television’s latest DC Entertainment title Black Lightning is finally making its way onto DVD and Blu-Ray, giving fans the chance to bring the breakout superhero drama home on a 2-disc set packed with bonus features!

"Black Lightning follows Jefferson Pierce, a man wrestling with a secret. As the father of two daughters and principal of a charter high school that also serves as a safe haven for young people in a neighborhood overrun by gang violence, he is a hero to his community. Nine years ago, Pierce was a hero of a different sort. Gifted with the superhuman power to harness and control electricity, he used those powers to keep his hometown streets safe as the masked vigilante Black Lightning. Almost a decade later, Pierce’s crime-fighting days are long behind him…or so he thought. As a fan of all-things DC TV, I was thrilled when The CW first announced its plans for a live action Black Lightning series and thankfully the series more than lived up to expectations with its first season!
Season 1 of the show proved to be an incredible viewing experience and the show quickly set itself apart from the ever-growing list of superhero titles with its unique perspective and family dynamic. With a shortened season, the writers managed to deliver a compelling character-driven arc which quickly pulled us in and kept us coming back week after week for more.
The strength of Season 1 and its compelling storylines should be reason enough to add Black Lightning: The Complete First Season to your collection, but Warner Bros. Home Entertainment went above and beyond with the collection’s bonus features to make this a release no fan will want to pass on. Between the special features which take a look at iconic moments and the decisions which inspired the season, to traditional favorites such as the gag reel and 2017 SDCC panel this 2-disc collection packs a powerful punch.
