Benedict Cumberbatch proves his acting abilities time and time again. It’s time to break down the roles and pick out his 10 greatest movies of all time (so far, of course).

Households around the world have heard of Benedict Cumberbatch. While he didn’t get his first acting gig until 2002, he has quickly made waves across British and American TV and movies. He’s taken on some of the most challenging roles, good and bad. This is a man you want to love in everything that he does, making it hard to hate him when he does some of the most dastardly stuff.

It’s time to break down the roles that he has been in, looking at the successes, his character, and the reason why the roles are still remembered today. If you haven’t seen the movies on this list, you’ll want to make sure you put them on your list of movies to watch very soon.

For this list, I’ve ruled out TV movies, focusing on his bigger hits. I’ve also had to rule out miniseries and TV dramas, which means no Sherlock I’m afraid. And as much as I adore his rendition of Shakespeare’s Richard III, The Hollow Crown was a TV miniseries, so has also been ruled out.
