Charlie’s Angels: 5 Reasons a reboot is futile
A Charlie’s Angels reboot is coming to theaters. Again. The reboot is futile, and success is not likely.
According to The Wrap, another Charlie’s Angels is coming. So that’s a reboot of a reboot, for those keeping track. Elizabeth Banks will be directing, producing, writing, and acting in the film. She may also be involved in special effects, catering, and best boy grip, whatever that is. Banks will take over as a Bosley re-purposing, and will likely serve as an acting coach on set.
Plans are for a release date next year, but the official date is unknown. The primary cast is complete, however, which means filming will likely start in the very near future on this derivative project.
After the failed 2011 TV series by the same name – don’t worry, I completely forgot about it as well – the future doesn’t look bright for this version of Charlie’s Angels.
On top of all that, the lead in the movie is a difficult to root for homewrecker, who cheated on her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, with the married director of Snow White and the Huntsman, Rupert Sanders. Speaking of that, on to the top five reasons why the yet another reboot of Charlie’s Angels is futile.
