Kids can pretend Ariel is ready to explore her new surroundings with Eric, while Ursula tries to stir up trouble for the two. Inspired by the popular Disney Princess comic strip series from Joe Books, these 5-inch posable dolls feature six points of articulation and a base, making it easy to pose each figure for the ultimate storytelling."
Given its continued popularity, it should come as no surprise that Disney’s The Little Mermaid finds itself at the heart of the Disney Princess Comics Collection’s grandest offering: a 3-figure collection featuring Ariel, Ursula and Eric.
Through the Ariel and Friends set, fans are treated with three vibrant figures which truly look as though they’ve been plucked right from the pages of the latest Disney Princess comic strip as the Hasbro team has done a wonderful job with translating the characters.

What’s incredible is how Hasbro also managed to capture the essence of each character. The Ariel figure pulls off Ariel’s playful innocence, the Ursula figure manages to deliver the perfect side of sass and the Eric figure has just the right amount of charm.
Looking at the quality of the figures, each figure is easily posable thanks to the various points of articulation – though the movement of the figures is more limited than other Hasbro offerings we’ve reviewed in the past. However, the limited movement does work in the favor of collectors looking to easily display the figures – which those in the older demographic absolutely should do because these figures deserve to be displayed and not tucked away in a drawer.
Disney Princess Comics Collection Magic Carpet Ride Set
"About the Product: Join Jasmine and Aladdin on a flight of imagination through the skies of Agrabah with the Disney Princess Comics Collection Magic Carpet Ride set. Little ones can dream up epic adventures as they pretend to soar on a magic carpet ride. Inspired by the popular Disney Princess comic strip series from Joe Books, these 5-inch posable dolls feature six points of articulation and a present carpet base, that allow kids to pose their pair for any adventure."
As a life-long Aladdin fan, this figure set immediately won me over thanks to its ability to instantly bring back memories of watching Aladdin and Jasmine soar through the skies above Agrabah.
Further examining the figure, it’s easy to quickly fall more in love with the figures. The Aladdin and Jasmine figures perfect capture the comic likeness of both iconic characters and the colors on the figures are beautifully done. I was also particularly fond of the mold of the magic carpet which helps give the figure set that needed sense of movement associated with the scene.
If I had to get nitpicky, my sole complaint with the Aladdin and Jasmine figures is that they aren’t nearly as posable as I’d like due to the figures’ molds. Looking at the figures as a whole though, it’s a minor issue one can easily overlook.
All in all, Hasbro seems to have hit another home run with its Disney Princess Comics Collection line which are sure to appeal to Disney fans of all ages!
