General Hospital spoilers: Mike’s dangerous plan backfires

An explosion at Charlie’s Pub rocks General Hospital this week.

A family crisis this week on ABC’s General Hospital brings plenty of chaos and danger to the forefront. Mike Corbin only wants to undo the potential damage that could occur in his son’s life if the body buried under Julian’s bar is discovered. Unfortunately, his plan will backfire and puts a loved one in extreme danger.

Mike’s plan

Sonny’s dad has moments where he remembers everything about the day he dug up the body of his son’s first job working for Joe Scully and relocated it under Charlie’s pub. He wants to rectify the situation by causing a gas leak at the restaurant. Mike used a wrench to do just that and now everyone in the pub is in danger, including Mike’s granddaughter, Kristina.

According to a new General Hospital preview clip, Mike heads upstairs as soon as the gas starts leaking out and takes a look around. He sees that there are people in the pub and that may just spark a realization of the magnitude of what he just did to put them in danger. On Monday, Mike will realize that Kristina is there as well.

Little did he know that Kristina just got hired as a bartender and he will be as confused as ever. Julian will smell gas in the pub and proceed to get everyone out. General Hospital spoilers from Soap Opera Digest says that Kristina will see the wrench in her granddad’s hand and understand the gravity of the situation. She will head down to the basement trying to fix what Mike did.

The explosion

With everyone else safely out of Charlie’s Pub, Kristina is not. Sonny will get a call about Mike wondering into the restaurant, so he will be on hand, along with Jason, when things start happening. An explosion will happen with Kristina still in the building.

Of course, Sonny and Jason will try to go in to save her. Or it could be Julian who does. Will they get there in time? She just moved back into town a few days ago after her break up with Parker. This could always bring her back into town if Kristina is badly injured. Or Valerie may be on scene realizing that her BFF is in trouble

What will happen with Mike?

Mike was totally against going into a facility where they could better handle his Alzheimer’s as it progressively gets worse. So was Sonny. This may just be the thing that changes both of their minds. A difficult decision needs to be made to keep Mike and his loved ones from any more danger.
