Season 3 – Coven

Nan (Jamie Brewer)

Nan never received the respect she deserved from the fellow members of the coven. Due to her Down syndrome, the other young witches often assumed she was simple-minded but she was highly underestimated. Nan caught on quicker than the rest and possessed powers just as powerful as Zoe, Madison, and Queenie. Her exceptional gifts of clairvoyance and mind control come into play multiple times throughout the season.

Unfortunately, Nan never got the chance to perform the Seven Wonders to become the next Supreme. After Nan got in the way of Fiona and Marie’s plans, they drowned her to offer her spirit as a sacrifice to Papa Legba. Her soul was sent to the afterlife and that’s the last we saw of her. She definitely deserved better from her witch sisters.

Luke Ramsey (Alexander Dreymon)

Before her death, Nan formed a friendship with the Academy’s next-door neighbor, Luke. Even after being attacked on Halloween night by a group of the undead, he stuck by Nan’s side and disagreed with his mother’s perceptions of the coven. When witch-hunter Hank attacked the Ramsey home in an attempt to kill Nan, Luke jumped in front of her and took a bullet in the head. He lived and finally got the chance to tell off his mother through Nan’s clairvoyant powers. In the end, his mother suffocated him with a pillow but the damage was already done by Luke’s words.
