By the end of the September 20 episode, only three houseguests will be left competing for the power. It’s important because this will help determine which two houseguests go up in front of the BB20 jury during the season finale. The good news is that Inside the BB House will relay the results of Part 1 of the final Head of Household Competition as soon as they become available. It could mean that the results from Thursday night (September 20) won’t be revealed live, but after the live feeds come back on later in the evening.

Big Brother 20 spoilers: How does final HOH Competition work?

The final HOH Competition is done in three stages. During Part 1, the final three houseguests all compete to win what is typically an Endurance Challenge. The winner of Part 1 automatically gets a spot in Part 3. Then, Part 2 is played over the weekend, with the winner of Part 2 also getting a spot in Part 3. During the season finale, the two winners face off in a final challenge to decide the final Head of Household.

Becoming the final HOH guarantees a spot in front of the BB20 jury. Then, that person gets to pick who sits beside them. It’s a strategic moment with a lot on the line, as choosing the wrong person can be a $500,000 mistake. The nine members of the jury then vote for the winner, with second place getting $50,000 this year. It’s an intense final few moments of the season finale.
