Big Brother 21 rumors: Casting is now open, show renewed?

Big Brother 21 rumors on social media state that they are already working on the BB21 cast. That’s great news because it suggests that CBS is going to be announcing a renewal very soon.

Host Julie Chen Moonves and social media user Real Vegas have both started urging fans to start applying to be part of the Big Brother 21 cast. Chen Moonves did it at the end of the September 20 episode, while Real Vegas started asking fans who would be applying for the summer 2019 show. It gives a strong indication that CBS will be announcing an official renewal of the program very soon.

Great news for Big Brother fans

This is really great news for the die-hard fans of the show, as it had seemed like the program was in limbo. Now, fans can start looking forward to meeting the BB21 cast and debating over who is going to win that season. It’s going to be a bit of time until those names are revealed, as the Big Brother 20 season finale hasn’t even aired, but it’s good news all the same.

A Big Brother 21 renewal announcement?

The official word from CBS has not yet come about the show being renewed. Maybe the intent is to keep attention focused on the current season and the final three houseguests. JC Mounduix, Tyler Crispen, and Kaycee Clark are pushing hard to get named the Big Brother 20 winner next week. It’s been a tough road and they are closing in on being in the house for 100 days now.

Is Julie Chen Moonves back?

At some point, there will also need to be an announcement about host Julie Chen Moonves returning, as that hasn’t been addressed publicly either. Many fans have been pulling for her to stay with the program, even while her husband deals with controversy. She has been a big piece of the show since it began on CBS and has helped develop the brand over the years.

It’s too early to state when the Big Brother 21 season premiere would air on CBS, but never too early to guess. Fans should learn the BB21 cast members early in June and the 2019 summers season should begin before the end of that month. Until then, at least fans will be able to enjoy Celebrity Big Brother 2 this winter.
