How many seasons are available on Netflix?

Wynonna Earp currently has 2 seasons available to stream on Netflix and season 3 will be added sometime in the coming months. The series has also been renewed for a fourth season, which will likely hit Netflix in late 2019.

What’s it about?

A fierce female warrior who fights supernatural demons aka revenants, Wynonna Earp comes face to face with the reincarnated outlaws that her great-great-grandfather previously killed in their town, Purgatory, located near the Canadian Rockies. When she turned 27, Wynonna realized she was now able to send these reincarnated revenants back to hell thanks to a special family heirloom: a 16-inch barrel “Peacemaker” revolver. After the Black Badge Division recruits her to help them fight revenants and other supernatural enemies, Wynonna joins the ranks alongside other agents and officers, including her girlfriend and her younger sister.

Why might Shadowhunters fans like it?

You’ll be trading in the hustle of New York City for a setting that feels like the Wild West, but Wynonna and Clary would likely be demon-hunting friends, and if you love following a strong heroine who learns to find her own identity while following her destiny, Wynonna Earp could be a great fit during Shadowhunters hiatus. There’s a whole lot of female-led fighting, demon-hunting and possession, family drama, and unique supernatural legacies to fulfill. The series is also recognized for its LGBTQ representation, and was nominated alongside Shadowhunters in GLAAD’s Outstanding Drama Series category in 2017 and in 2018.
