The final three houseguests
Tyler Crispen, Kaycee Clark, and JC Mounduix are the final three houseguests. At the end of the September 23 episode, some footage for Part 1 of the final HOH Competition was shown. Outside of that, the Sunday night presentation mostly served as a flashback for the entire summer. The episode before that, Angela Rummans was sent out the front door by Kaycee.
When things get rolling on Wednesday night, there is going to be a lot for producers to cover. That includes the first two parts of the final Head of Household Competition, which already took place. Those pre-taped segments will also be joined by the BB20 jury roundtable, hosted by Dr. Will Kirby. Who will they select as the Big Brother 20 winner?
By the end of the night, viewers will know who has won the $500,000 prize, as well as who has been named America’s Favorite Houseguest. That could be really interesting, so nobody will want to miss a minute of the summer finale. As a reminder, Episode 40 begins at 9:30/8:30c on CBS. It’s a 90-minute installment, following the Survivor season premiere. All of the important moments will be reported here live, including the crowing of the Big Brother 20 winner.
The September 26 Big Brother 20 recap
The episode began with host Julie Chen noting that the final three had been in the house for 99 days. It was then time for the “previously on Big Brother” segment, where Angela Rummans was shown getting evicted and Tyler Crispen was shown telling Kaycee Clark that he would throw Part 1 of the final HOH Competition to her.
HOH Competition Part 1
Tyler, Kaycee, and JC were elevated in the backyard as they tried to hang on to jetpacks moving in awkward directions. It was an Endurance Challenge, with the last person in the competition awarded an automatic spot in HOH Part 3. Each of the jetpacks also had nozzles attached to them, which sprayed liquid on the competitors.
JC fell after a little over 54 minutes, leaving just Tyler and Kaycee in the competition. Kaycee feel roughly two minutes later, making Tyler the winner of Part 1. Kaycee spoke in a Diary Room session about being annoyed that Tyler didn’t just drop.
HOH Competition Part 2
Kaycee and JC had to solve clues and climb a wall to place the names of the houseguests on it. The first one to correctly place the four names for each clue would win Part 2 of the final Head of Household Competition. One of the questions was to name the four houseguests that got evicted unanimously. During one of the questions, JC ended up just guessing, leading to a lot of wasted time. In the end, Kaycee won HOH Part 2.
BB20 jury roundtable hosted by Dr. Will Kirby
It was time to see the BB20 jury again, as the former houseguest and winner Will Kirby hosted their discussion and debate. They were quickly joined by Angela Rummans, who told them that it was JC Mounduix who had won the Head of Household to get her out. Angela immediately began revealing secrets, telling the other jury members about the Level Six alliance.
There was a segment in the jury discussion, where a lot of people were stating that JC played the game very well. That included Rockstar, Sam Bledsoe, and Faysal Shafaat. Brett Robinson and Haleigh Broucher stated that Tyler had played a great game. Bayleigh Dayton called Tyler a “punk” when talking about it. A lot of time was also spent on Kaycee, with some jury members marveling at her game and others feeling she hid behind Tyler. The jury segment wasn’t quite as exciting as in past seasons, but it ended with them agreeing that it was “anyone’s game.”
Big Brother 20 HOH Competition Part 3
Eight videos, one from each member of the BB20 jury, were shown to Kaycee Clark and Tyler Crispen. Host Julie Chen Moonves asked a question about each video. The person with the most correct answers would win Part 3 and become the final Head of Household.
After the final question, they were tied. It meant that Julie had to ask them a tie-breaker question. They had to guess the number of seconds the jetpack competition took. Kaycee was the closest. Kaycee won Part 3 and became the final Head of Household.
