#10 Third Person

Original Release Date: Third Person premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 3, 2013, extending to a few theaters on June 20, 2014.

Box Office Earnings: The budget for Third Person is not available, but Box Office Mojo reports the film only collected a very low $1 million. First reaction might be that this was a big flop, and sure, it doesn’t look well, but it was likely also due to a small production budget movie and it only receiving a limited release.

Critical Acclaim: With only a 24% rating at Rotten Tomatoes, we can’t really say Third Person was critically acclaimed. In fact, it was a failure in the eyes of critics. However, fans of Mila Kunis loved her performance. We admire her work in anything that’s not comedy, it shows she can do it all!

About the Role: Third Person follows follows three main characters, featuring all their stories and how they connect. There’s Michael (Liam Neeson), Julia (Mila Kunis), and Scott (Adrien Brody). Kunis tale is that she’s a struggling hotel maid fighting to get custody of her son back from her ex-husband Rick (James Franco) after lies about her parenting took over.

Simply the Best: Not everyone appreciates this movie, and it’s unfairly underrated. But give it a chance! If you want to see a great cast and memorable performances, check out Third Person.
