At the same time, Bloom receives a patient who she discovers had a previous heart transplant surgery at New Amsterdam 27 years ago, but soon after, they realize she was the recipient of Max’s sister’s heart .

Frome starts the day with an extra skip in his step, confident that something amazing is about to happen with one of his cases. He meets with a teenage trans patient with a large social media following who feels ready for surgery, but his parents have reservations, and Frome will be faced with a difficult decision.

And after a chat with Reynolds, Bloom will seek out Evie to try and clear the air about her relationship history. Tonight’s fall finale episode is one of our favorites of the season, and it’s sure to pull at your heart-strings.
