Avengers: Endgame trailer breaks history with 289 million views

Fans of all ages have been waiting for the Avengers: Endgame trailer for what seems like forever, it’s not a surprise that it blew up the internet when it dropped. People continue to watch the trailer in hopes of spotting clues as to what the plot is.

Since Marvel/Disney dropped the trailer, fans have been watching each and every frame, and scrutinizing them to see what the Endgame title really means and how the surprise return of Hawkeye and Ant-Man will play a part in the movie, after they were not seen in Infinity War.

It’s because of those fans that the Avengers: Endgame trailer has become the most viewed trailer in 24 hours, being viewed 289 million times.  Marvel previously held the record with Avengers: Infinity War, receiving 230 million views. Disney’s latest live-action film Lion King secured the third spot with 224.6 million views.

Now is the perfect time to go back and rewatch the trailer, and go Easter Egg hunting. Marvel’s lips are sealed when it comes to details of their upcoming film’s plot, but there are some key moments in the trailer that has people scratching their heads.

Marvel made the announcement of the record on Twitter saying:

"To the greatest fans in the world, thank you for being there from the beginning til the endgame and making Marvel Studios’ #AvengersEndgame the most viewed trailer in history with 289M views in 24 hours!"

Avengers: Endgame also set records on Twitter for being mentioned 549,000 times in the first 24 hours. Black Panther in its first 24 hours was mentioned 349,000 times. Avengers: Infinity War was mentioned previously 389,000 times.
