Avengers: Endgame fan theory suggests time is key not action

One Marvel fan believes time is key to making everything right and saving everyone in Avengers: Endgame.

The Reddit user points to Dr. Strange’s time when he witnessed 14 million possible outcomes in Avengers: Infinity War and found the one. One of the key moments in Avengers: Infinity War was when Dr. Strange sat alone and managed to watch 14 million possible outcomes.

After fans saw this, they began to speculate many theories on how the Avengers will defeat Thanos. One theory presented by Reddit user Smegsaiah is gaining some serious traction.

The theory says that Dr. Strange paid extra attention to when he handed over the time stone to Thanos. While fans have focused on events following Star-Lord waking up Thanos from his induced slumber, the new theory suggests that time is key rather than the actions themselves.

The theory focuses on the moment Scott Lang/Ant-Man enters the Quantum Realm during the post-credit scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp. It’s believed that the odds that Thanos snap would happen during the seconds Lang was in the other dimension are unbelievable. So, this theory says that Dr. Strange was just stalling as long as he could so that Thanos’ snap, better known as the Thanos Decimation, would happen right when Ant-Man entered the Quantum Realm.

Smegsaiah doesn’t go into full details on why Strange needs Lang to be trapped in the Quantum Realm, the possibilities are endless. As we’ve been introduced to the Quantum Realm, we’ve learned that time and space flow differently than the real world. We’ve also seen the effects of the Quantum Realm take on people including Janet van Dyne.

It appears that the Quantum Realm may have some sort of key to defeating Thanos. It’s possible the Avengers could use the realm to boost their powers.
