Celebrity Big Brother recap: January 27 episode spoilers

Celebrity Big Brother aired a new episode on January 27, which marks the first Sunday installment of the winter season.

This Celebrity Big Brother recap picks up immediately after Jonathan Bennett got evicted by a 6-1 vote. The only one who voted for someone else was Dina Lohan, who placed her vote for Kandi Burruss. Joey Lawrence, who was the third nominee, did not receive any votes.

In a Diary Room session, Dina Lohan spoke about being “out of the loop” because she was the only one who voted to keep Jonathan. During his own DR, Ryan Lochte spoke about coming after everyone, as the Jonathan eviction shocked him.

Eviction fallout

Joey, Ryan, and Dina were shocked about what had just happened. They were not clear that Jonathan was about to get voted out. Meanwhile, the rest of the house was trying to figure out who went against them. They began questioning each other about what had taken place before finally landing on the thought that Kandi received Dina’s vote.

Celebrity Big Brother recap: Second Head of Household Competition

While Ryan watched, as the outgoing HOH, the other nine houseguests started playing in the second Head of Household Competition. They were all perched on a wall, as the wall angled them toward the ground. Winning the competition meant being the last person standing.

Tom Green was the first one out. Kandi Burruss fell soon after him, leaving just seven people on the wall. Ricky Williams was the next one to fall, followed by Tamar Braxton and Dina Lohan. That left just Joey Lawrence, Kato Kaelin, Lolo Jones, and Natalie Eva Marie.

When Lolo, and then Joey dropped, it was down to Kato and Natalie for Head of Household. Kato promised safety to Joey and Natalie if they dropped, which is exactly what happened. Kato Kaelin is the second Head of Household.

Second Nomination Ceremony

The January 27 Celebrity Big Brother recap continues as the houseguests began to scramble for safety. Before Kato hosted the second the Nomination Ceremony, he was approached by Ryan, who was nervous that he would be the target for eviction. Ryan tried to forge a deal with Kato, but it didn’t come off as something the new HOH was really interested in doing.

Tom Green sat down with Kato to go over the nominations, at which point they discussed that Dina Lohan had rooted against Kato in the HOH Competition, that Ryan Lochte was a huge threat, and that Tamar Braxton wasn’t helping at all around the house. Regarding Dina and Kato, she felt he had lied to her about who he was voting for at the first Eviction Ceremony.

There was some drama in the house on the morning of the nominations. Lolo Jones and Tamar got into an argument, with Lolo getting tired of Tamar complaining about things every morning. It got rather heated. Lolo apologized to Tamar a bit later.

At the Nomination Ceremony, Kato nominated Dina and Tamar for eviction.

That brings an end to the January 27 Celebrity Big Brother recap. The new HOH is Kato Kaelin and he nominated Dina Lohan and Tamar Braxton for eviction. Holding the Power of Veto just became even more important to both ladies. The next episode of the show comes at 8/7c on Monday night (January 28).
