Is there a new No. 1 in the Celebrity Big Brother 2 power rankings?

Welcome to my new Celebrity Big Brother 2 power rankings! Below is a recap of recent events.

Last week saw Kato Kaelin in the No. 8 slot in my Celebrity Big Brother 2 power rankings. As it turned out, Kato being ranked eighth ended up being accurate. Tamar Braxton won Head of Household, barely edging out Kato. Even though she had a chance to shake things up, Tamar chose to nominate Kato and Tom Green for eviction.

Lolo Jones won the Power of Veto Competition and chose to leave the nominations the same. Kato was evicted by a 5-0 vote. In addition, Tamar’s Power of the Publicist is no longer in play, as it expired after the Power of Veto Meeting without getting used.

Shift in power

While the power in the Celebrity Big Brother 2 house did not change on Monday’s eviction episode (February 4), things are sure to be shaken up this week as the live feeds revealed that Tom Green won his second Head of Household Competition of the season. Who will Tom nominate for eviction this week? I have an idea but tune in on February 7 at 9/8c to find out.

Who will lead the Celebrity Big Brother 2 power rankings?

They will go in numerical order. The houseguest ranked No. 7 is the likeliest to leave at the next Eviction Ceremony, while the houseguest ranked No. 1 is the likeliest to win Celebrity Big Brother 2. Who will top this installment of my power rankings? Who will find themselves on the bottom? Settle in and find out. When you are done reading, feel free to comment with your own rankings and tell me how I did!

7. Ricky Williams

How does a houseguest fall from No. 1 in the power rankings to No. 7 in the blink of an eye? Well, Tom Green is the Head of Household this time, and Tom happens to be the only person who sees Ricky as a threat. During Tom’s last HOH reign, he wanted to backdoor the former Heisman Trophy winner for being the biggest threat in the game. Tom is correct about Ricky’s status as a big-time threat.

Ricky has low-key been running the house since the start of the game. He turned the house against Jonathan Bennett and Ryan Lochte by informing Lolo Jones of Ryan’s plan to backdoor her. This led to Jonathan being evicted and the house being divided down the middle. The divide left Ricky completely out of the spotlight for the most part.

Fast forward a few days later, during Tom’s last HOH reign. When Tom informed Lolo and Natalie Eva Marie of their plans to backdoor Ricky, Lolo went and told Ricky, which turned the house against Tom and Kato. The attempted backdoor of Ricky ultimately led to Kato’s eviction.

With Tom in power, it would not be a surprise to see Tom attempt to get Ricky out, once again. If there is one thing that is likely to keep Tom from backdooring Ricky this week, it is the fact that Tom and Ricky are the only two men left in the Celebrity Big Brother 2 house. Should Ricky survive the cycle, he will likely slot back in at No. 1 in the next cycle.

6. Lolo Jones

If Ricky Williams manages to save himself, expect the hammer to fall on Lolo Jones this week. Out of Ricky, Lolo, and Natalie Eva Marie, Ricky is the biggest threat. Right behind him, however, is Lolo. It was Lolo who foiled Tom’s previous plans to backdoor Ricky by informing Ricky of his plans. Lolo has yet to be nominated for eviction, but it seems very likely that will end this cycle, with Tom being the new Head of Household.

Even if she does survive this week, it is fair to wonder whether Lolo has a realistic chance of winning this season with her social game. She has gotten into numerous arguments with other houseguests and that is usually not a good thing in the long run. Last season, Ross Mathews had played arguably the best strategic game, but his poor social game cost him the win. We might be looking at a similar situation here with Lolo’s game.

5. Natalie Eva Marie

Natalie Eva Marie’s Power of Veto win during Tom’s last Head of Household may have been more valuable this time. Had Tom’s plan to backdoor Ricky went through, despite Natalie and Lolo’s efforts, Natalie and Lolo might very well have been the next nominees, with Natalie being evicted should Lolo win the Power of Veto.

Luckily for Natalie, she is at little risk of leaving this week. She has two big targets ahead of her in Ricky and Lolo. There is still a chance she gets nominated this week as a pawn. Even if she survives this week, Natalie’s best chance of winning this game may very well be if she gets to the final two with Lolo.

Natalie, currently, does not have much of a resume to preach to the jury after her attempts to flip the vote to getting Kandi Burruss evicted backfired and Joey Lawrence got evicted instead. Lolo’s social game has not been the best and that could lead to Natalie winning in a Lolo vs Natalie final-two-scenario.

4. Tom Green

Tom Green may be Head of Household this time, but it only lasts one cycle. He is still a major target for Ricky Williams, Lolo Jones, and Natalie Eva Marie. Once his Head of Household reign is up, expect him to have a big target on his back. Seeing as how Tamar Braxton nominated Tom during her previous Head of Household reign, Tom would have to rely on one of two things happening.

The first thing is either Dina Lohan or Kandi Burruss winning the next Head of Household Competition, which seems unlikely. The other option to remain safe is winning the Power of Veto. If neither of those things happens, Tom is likely a dead man walking next cycle, when his Head of Household reign is up, unless he can make something happen this week.

3. Kandi Burruss

Last week we finally saw some gameplay out of Kandi… sort of. After Tamar won Head of Household, Kandi approached her about the possibility of evicting one of either Ricky, Natalie, or Lolo. Other than revealing where her loyalties lied, she was pretty much invisible, once again.

This week she should be safe from nomination, as Tom is Head of Household, and will likely have his sights set on Ricky. At this point, she has no real resume to share with the jury on finale night. She has been nominated two out of four cycles and was close to being evicted in the past week. While it is difficult to see Kandi winning Celebrity Big Brother, it is not hard to see her making a deep run.

2. Tamar Braxton

It seems as if Tamar Braxton has mellowed out recently and has become drama free. In the week before Kato Kaelin’s eviction, it was revealed that Tamar was the one who turned the tide against Joey Lawrence. Tamar decided to shake things up because she did not want to look bad by evicting Kandi Burruss. Turning the tide against Joey marked the first move Tamar has made all game.

Tom Green winning Head of Household this cycle is arguably the best thing that could have happened for Tamar’s game. Tamar won Head of Household last cycle but chose to stay the course and nominate Tom and Kato for eviction. If Tom had been evicted instead of winning HOH, that likely would have left Tamar as the next target for the alliance of Ricky Williams, Natalie Eva Marie, and Lolo Jones, seeing as Dina Lohan and Kandi have yet to win a competition this season.

1. Dina Lohan

Checking in at No. 1 in these Celebrity Big Brother 2 power rankings is Dina Lohan. If Ricky ultimately leaves this week, that leaves Dina in the best position to win Celebrity Big Brother 2. Tom is still a major target for the other side of the house, which will allow her to continue to slide under the radar for another week.

Her social game has been very strong. So far, Dina has been nominated just once for eviction. That came in the second cycle because she voted to evict Kandi instead of Jonathan Bennett, which went against the rest of the house. Ultimately, she stayed after Tom used the Power of Veto on Dina so Kato could go through with backdooring Ryan Lochte. Dina has remained off the radar ever since. That is a trend that should continue this week with Tom being the Head of Household.
