Galentine’s Day is all about ladies celebrating ladies. If you’re planning on having a movie night, here are five movies to revisit and celebrate.

When most of us think of February, our thoughts usually drift to Valentine’s Day or the fact that it’s Black History Month. Both are well-known as Valentine’s Day is a day all about love while Black History Month should be every month and not just February. Thankfully with the creation of Parks and Recreation, there’s an entirely new holiday to celebrate and that’s Galentine’s Day.

Created by Leslie Knope, it’s celebrated on Feb. 13 and is described as “ladies celebrating ladies.” A lot of friends use it as an excuse to get see each other and have a fun day together. While some may go out to get drinks, others will stay at home and have a sleepover.

No matter what you decide to do, there’s one thing that a lot of us like to do when we get together with our girlfriends. Either we go see a movie together or we watch them together. Somehow, it’s always more fun when you’re watching with friends. In honor of Galentine’s Day, it’s time to look back at some incredible movies we loved but haven’t watched much recently.

Whether it be movies about princesses or incredible friendships, there is no shortage of great films to watch on Galentine’s Day. If you can’t think of any, feel free to use this as your Galentine’s Day guide. Don’t forget to get some popcorn, pajamas and your favorite ladies to get the full effect of this list!
