4. Melody gets a wake up call.

In her efforts to fit in around the office, Melody may have picked up one too many bad habits from Eve. She genuinely likes IT guy Craig but has done a good job at repelling him in the last two episodes as Eve’s disdain for anyone not in her immediate inner circle rubs off on Melody. Not wanting to embarrass herself or damage her reputation, Melody ostracizes Craig.

When she calls him later he’s not keen on chatting with her. Why would he want a girlfriend who is embarrassed to be around him? The funny thing is, I don’t think anyone really cares who Melody dates, least of all Robyn. Eve would mercilessly joke her probably but she’s too self-absorbed to take serious offense. The only person standing in Melody’s way is Melody.

5. Robyn hits a wall.

Between running out on Sam during a late night dinner after he starts talking about baby stuff and then almost sleeping with Eve’s new beau Tom, while Eve is in the same room, Robyn has clearly hit a breaking point.

On top of her romantic troubles, Ruth is pissed at her because she knew about Mark’s unemployment for weeks and she fumbles the ball on the job – the one place she can usually always keep herself poised. Reaching a low point, Robyn considers suicide by standing over the bridge in the same spot where her mother killed herself years before. Someone honking at her breaks the reverie.

Back home, Sam proves how good he is and how Robyn doesn’t treat him fairly at all. He cooks dinner for her and apologizes for pressuring her about having children. He promises he wants Robyn just as she is, whatever that entails. Hm, wonder if he’ll feel the same way if he ever finds out about all the cheating, drugs, and lying?
