4. The murder of Amy Ferguson.

Before Allison can enact her crazy plan to get custody of Matty, she has to make sure Julie has reason enough to stay in their new home. She’ll need a job! If you can’t find a job, then you could always kill someone and force a new job opening which is exactly what Allison does. We don’t find out until late in the movie what she’s done, but poor Amy Ferguson.

3. Allie murders the nanny.

I admit, I thought Marisol, Julie’s hired regular babysitter, was going to wind up being the main villain at first. The babysitter/nanny is almost always evil on Lifetime. This time, Marisol is a pretty normal young woman who winds up getting in Allison’s way when she tries to do her job the right way for once.

Marisol was actually a good babysitter who thought Allie’s persistent desire to break all of Julie’s rules and take Matty out during the day without asking was strange! She becomes a threat to Allie’s plan and thus, she has to be disposed of.

It helps make Julie seem even crazier when she calls the cops yet again and her neighbors think she’s stirring up drama. Sure, if my neighbor was clearly going through a hard time, dealing with rocks being thrown in her house, and claiming she was being stalked the first thing I would think is: “Oh there’s that whacky Julie again, I couldn’t possibly show a drop of empathy and see if she’s okay!”
