Khal Cabal

Time of Death: Season 6, Episode 4 “Book of the Stranger”

Cause of Death: Burned alive in the temple of Vaes Dothrak.

Valar Morghulis: Perhaps one of the most triumphant moments of the entire series, Daenerys firmly takes hold of her destiny by bringing her journey as Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea full circle.

When Daenerys is found by a khalasar, she identifies herself as Khal Drogo’s widow. Good thinking because it helps her escape rape and torture, but bad because she must now be brought back to the spiritual city of Vaes Dothrak, which is where all the widows of great Khals go to live out the rest of their days. The dosh khaleen hope that Daenerys will be able to join their ranks, but it’s not up to them. The Khals will decide what to do with the silver haired widow of Khal Drogo.

Of course Daenerys doesn’t take too kindly to men deciding her fate for her, so she comes up with a plan. As she meets with the group of powerful Khals, she proposes a solution. They’re simple minded fools, so she’ll rule the Dothraki instead. Laughter bubbles up from the men. A woman? Lead the Dothraki?! Never gonna happen. Until it does. Daenerys tilts a few cauldrons of fire into the temple, filling it with flames, and killing everyone inside. Well, almost. The Unburnt, Daenerys herself, survives, instantly winning the love and servitude of the massive Dothraki army.
