Shae

Time of Death: Season 4, Episode 10 “The Children”

Cause of Death: Strangulation by spurned lover Tyrion Lannister.

Valar Morghulis: We all thought Shae (Sibel Kekilli) was truly loyal to her lion, Tyrion Lannister, forever and always. Alas, that was not the case. So when she confidently took the stand at his trial and testified against him, spinning lies straight from Tywin Lannister’s snake mouth, our collective hearts were crushed harder than Oberyn Martell’s head in the Mountain’s freakish sausage hands.

As Tyrion fled the capital with the help of his brother Jaime and Varys, the Master of Whisperers, he took a moment to sneak up into his father’s chambers and exact revenge. But then we experienced the unkindest cut of all. Shae was there, lazing in Tywin’s bed, using her best sultry voice to call her new lion back to bed. Nuh uh, lady. Tyrion instantly sprung into action, attacking his once beloved paramour and strangling her to death with her own elaborate necklace. In one way, the scene is certainly devastating for Tyrion, but in a kill-or-be-killed world, it’s good to know that liars and cheats eventually pay the price for their actions.
