Become a pawn in Littlefinger’s plot

Shortly after Sansa’s marriage to Tyrion, Joffrey was married to Margaery Tyrell. It was during Joffrey’s wedding day that he was killed and, naturally, Tyrion was blamed. Sansa was accused because she was the wife of Tyrion and the “jilted wannabe bride of the king.” However, it had nothing to do with Sansa that she knew of.

Olenna Tyrell had planted the poison that killed Joffrey in a gem on Sansa’s necklace. Knowing that Sansa would be blamed, Littlefinger got her out of King’s Landing, with the idea of taking her to the Eyrie.

While there, Sansa went through a physical transformation. After years of being a pawn, she decided it was time to be a strong and more powerful woman. However, she accidentally found herself a pawn in Littlefinger’s plot, especially when she covered for him after the death of her Aunt Lysa Arryn.

After the events at the Eyrie, Littlefinger took Sansa to Winterfell, which was now run by the Boltons. To help strengthen the North, Sansa was married to Ramsey Bolton, which quickly turned abusive and hateful. There’s no denying that Ramsey’s death was the most satisfying of all on Game of Thrones.

While a prisoner in her former home, Sansa reunited with Theon Greyjoy, who was now known as Reek after the torture at Ramsey’s hands. The reunion wasn’t a happy one but Sansa did find out that her brothers hadn’t been killed. Theon also eventually helped her escape Winterfell, just as Stannis Baratheon attacked (and failed).
