The new episode of Grey’s Anatomy is entirely Amelia-focused as she and Link travel all the way to New York for a prestigious surgical case.

We get a spotlight episode on this week’s Grey’s Anatomy as Amelia takes center-stage with Link serving as her co-star. The pair travels to New York this time to do a high-risk surgery on a young adult male suffering from severe scoliosis.

In the process, Amelia inadvertently gets drawn into a stressful Shepherd sister family reunion and cooks up a scheme with Link for him to pretend to be Owen — her husband, so she can avoid getting into the nitty-gritty details of her life. Here are three big takeaways from the episode.

3. Amelia and Link are OTP status.

I’ve been rooting for Link and Amelia since they first shared a real scene together. You don’t easily come by the kind of chemistry sizzling between these two.

Since the beginning of their “pain management” recourse in a myriad of hotel rooms across the country, Link and Amelia have popped on-screen in ways Owen and Amelia never did. I don’t feel like outwardly groaning when I see these two talking. They actually appear genuinely happy together, unlike Owen and Amelia who sucked all the energy out of the room.

Even if Link and Amelia aren’t “official” yet, it’s clear there are mutual feelings between them. Especially Link who valiantly defends Amelia to her insufferable sisters. I’ll admit, the pretend-Link-is-Owen plan was a pretty terrible idea but who doesn’t love a good faking-dating plot?
