Spoiler warning: If you haven’t watched season one of Dead to Me in its entirety do not read this article!

7. Judy kills Ted in a hit-and-run.

This actually happens before the season starts but it is shown in flashbacks throughout. The reveal comes swiftly at the end of the first episode. Judy almost prematurely ended her friendship with Jen by lying about having a dead fiance. But then she admits she was struggling because she’s had five miscarriages and didn’t know of her grief was valid enough to ensure her a place in the Friends of Heaven support group.

Ultimately, she and Jen do hit it off, with Jen even inviting Judy to move into her guest house – Ted’s former studio. Then at the end of the episode, we see Judy going into her storage space containing a ’66 mustang with a suspicious body-shaped dent in the front bunker and a smashed windshield glass. Yes, Judy is the person Jen has been desperately seeking for months in connection with her husband’s premature and violent death!
