4. What’s next for Nic and Conrad?

Nic and Conrad are actually in a good place again. I did not expect that to happen by the season finale. I thought their relationship turmoil would carry over into the next season so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that wouldn’t be the case. Fans of the #CoNic pairing have been run through the mill over the latter half of Season 2.

First Nic and Conrad could barely talk to each other, then Alec tried to get in between them and the stress over Jessie threatened to tear them even further apart. But they managed to weather the storm and find their way back to one another. All Nic wanted was for Conrad to meet her halfway. She’s open to discussing moving in together, marriage, and even children. Nic just needs to do it at her own pace. I don’t think Conrad ever intended to rush into anything.

I feel like their message to one another got lost in translation given everything else that was going on. Conrad agrees to slow things down – so long as he gets his chickens some day.

What will season two of the show bring? Well based on the ending of this episode, I think it’s going to get hard again before it’s smooth sailing. Nic is going to be in a dark place headed into season two regardless of who ended up dying. Let’s hope their new foundation is strong enough to support her through it.
