iZombie recap: 5 major takeaways from Season 5, Episode 2
2. Ravi and Peyton are having intimacy issues
Throughout the episode, Ravi and Peyton struggle with their intimacy issues. Because of Ravi’s part zombie problem, they’re really struggling in the zombie department. But it’s not just that.
They’re both stressed with work, Peyton especially. She’s being interviewed as one of the most influential women under 30 and that should be something to be proud of. It is, but Peyton is still struggling with the government mess. All she wants is to keep both zombies and humans safe in Seattle.
By the end, Ravi gets some pointers and is able to have an excellent night with his girlfriend. Hopefully, we don’t have to see these two go through a breakup at any point or any loss. I want these two to have a happy ending.
1. The lives of those inside Seattle are at serious risk
Okay, we knew this because of the tensions rising between zombies and humans, right? Well, it’s not just because of these tensions that lives are at risk. The government agencies outside of the wall are making it almost impossible for zombies to survive. And you just know that will put humans at risk.
If zombies can’t get their brains, they’re going to turn on all humans inside. It doesn’t matter if humans are zombie-friendly or not, zombies will eat them for survival. So, Peyton needs to do something to ease relations.
When that doesn’t happen, she finds another way to deal with it all. One of the guys in the Dungeons and Dragons group – I still love that this is ongoing – is in a comedy group and he does zombie sketches. There’s a chance Peyton can use this group to help ease relations with the outside world – or, you know, aggravate the further! – and she’s going to use the Needle to do it.
