iZombie recap: 5 major takeaways from Season 5, Episode 2

4. Liv will start smuggling people out

As I predicted during the iZombie Season 5 premiere recap, Liv isn’t just going to smuggle in people to turn into zombies. She’s going to smuggle humans out. However, it’s not going down the way I expected and I’m really happy about that.

Major turns to Liv for help. He wants to get some people out without making it look like he’ll let almost all humans out of the city. After all, some humans need to stay. So, he wants Liv to get people out.

At first, Liv doesn’t want to. However, one of her smugglers is killed getting the kids into the city and she knows she needs to do something. She agrees to start smuggling people out of the city and it starts with the ones who were responsible for the faked attack on CCTV.

Can we please see Liv and Major work together more throughout this final season? I love it!

3. Major joins the fake news parade

If the humans pushing out fake news wasn’t enough, Major is up to it to in iZombie Season 5, Episode 2. He’s trying hard to keep the zombies in check but with humans attacking them everywhere, it’s not easy. The final straw for many is when Jordan is shot and killed by a sniper. It’s a loss for the team and a huge loss for Major.

However, letting the human justice system isn’t enough for many of the zombies. So, they decide to dish out their own justice and attack a zombie-haters bar, killing one. Major has no choice but to punish his own.

How does he do that? Well, the two who killed the human are actually put on ice. But Major needs to make things look more serious. He has the guillotine set up in a private spot on base and makes it look like the two are executed. Someone films it “in secret” to push it out to the press, making it look like Major is now killing zombies who hurt humans.

Hopefully, it will be enough to ease some tensions but I wouldn’t count on it. That human group is certainly out for blood – and will even kill their own to make sure the war between humans and zombies starts.
