The worst season of Big Brother has become a hot topic on social media over the past few weeks. Fans of the show are weighing in with which season they feel didn’t live up to expectations.

Big Brother 19 is getting a lot of votes as the worst season the show has had. While these votes on Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook are just the opinions of the most vocal fans, it does show that the overall opinion of the summer 2017 season is quite low.

Why do people hate Big Brother 19?

It’s important to slow down and point out that not everyone hates the BB19 cast. Some viewers really loved Paul Abrahamian, Josh Martinez, and Christmas Abbott. That’s the trio that made it all the way to the end of the season, with Paul pulling most of the strings as the season progressed.

Breaking that down even further, Paul has a lot of fans who really loved the fact that he was invited back after finishing second to Nicole Franzel on the BB18 cast. There are even more viewers who disliked what took place, started siding with Cody Nickson later in the season, and were really upset when Josh ended up getting named the Big Brother 19 winner.

A problem that a lot of viewers had was that too many houseguests weren’t seen as actually playing the game. Some of them, like Matt Clines and Raven Walton, were seen as doing only what Paul asked of them and never actually doing anything in their own best interests. Then there was the showmance of Elena Davies and Mark Jansen, who seemed to float with the power.

Was BB19 cast an end to returning houseguests?

Prior seasons showed that it could be a lot of fun to bring back a few houseguests who had played the game before. With the BB19 cast, though, it seemed like too many people were just in awe of Paul and his personality. He tried to ride that all the way to the end, but he failed when it came to managing the jury votes. Paul may have also ended the theme of returners.
