Big Brother Canada 8 is on the way. Though the show just wrapped up its seventh season, the eighth installment has already been approved. That’s great news for fans of the show and it gives everyone something to look forward to next year.
Arisa Cox shares Big Brother Canada 8 news
In a video that was posted online, host Arisa Cox had to hold back her tears of excitement as she shared the news with fans. The brand new announcement is shared below, which serves as an official statement that the show has been renewed.
As Cox noted, 104 contestants have played the game through the first seven seasons, spending 496 days in the house. Those houseguests have helped contribute to 206 episodes of the show. All of those numbers are going to increase with the great news that she just shared.

The great news was also echoed by casting director Robyn Kass, who shared her own post, which was filled with excitement. She frequently posts about the show, as well as the other reality competition and dating shows that she works on.
Season 7 just ended
Big Brother Canada 7 just came to an end on May 9, bringing a close to another eventful season of the show. Dane Rupert beat out Anthony Douglas on the season finale, outlasting the cast of 15 people to win.
For his victory, Rupert took home $100,000 in cash, a $25,000 home furnishing makeover, $10,000 worth of groceries, and a dream vacation for two anywhere in the world. It was definitely a nice prize haul.
Big Brother as a whole is making a lot of news lately, including appearances from former U.S. players on The Amazing Race. Now, fans of Big Brother Canada can celebrate, as the show will be coming back with a brand new season.
