2. Season 1, Episode 20 – “Raining Blood”

For fans of Angie, or of Angie and Will, there is almost nothing better than the episode “Raining Blood.” When Angie begins to dread her upcoming 30th birthday party, Will takes it upon himself to throw her the perfect party.

For Angie, that means re-creating Ozzfest in all its glory, including letting her get on stage and sing some of her crazy metal music. Plus, we also got a few priceless scenes of Douglas taking Graham shopping for his mom’s birthday gift.

1. Season 1, Episode 23 – “Ketchup”

Who knew an impassioned speech about ketchup could be so sweet? The season finale of Single Parents contained all the things we love most about the show. Will defends Angie and rants against her ex (played by Adam Brody, Meester’s real-life husband), Poppy and Douglas finally get together, and there is an overall air of sweetness to the sitcom ending that makes me thankful it was renewed for a second outing.

Although it would have been nice to get a kiss from Will and Angie too, since their final scene together was building towards one, I’m glad they let Poppy and Douglas have their moment and didn’t overshadow it.
